Cretaceous Crocodile vertebrate

The Kem Kem Beds are rich in fossil remains from the Late Cretaceous period, including those of crocodiles. One such example is a crocodile vertebrae, which typically consists of a central body, or centrum, with two arches of bone extending laterally from it. This is an unidentified crocodylomorph but specimens like these are the building blocks to see how these animals were structured to navigte through cretacous waters and swamps.
