This is a beautiful small cross section piece of a mamoth tooth. This specimen has a nice array of blues and tans throughout the muller tooth. Mamoth teeth are usually large and thick, with a flat grinding surface on the outside and a series of ridges and furrows on the inside. They are composed mainly of enamel, dentin, and cementum, and typically range in size from a few centimeters to over a foot in length.
