This is a unique piece of Brazilian aquamarine due to its incredible banding. It does not naturally terminate on either end but the main portion is absolutely perfect sitting on a beautiful piece of quartz. It is a type of beryl mineral and is named after the Latin word for "sea water," due to its color resemblance to the waters of the ocean. Brazilian aquamarine is found in various locations throughout Brazil, including Minas Gerais, Bahia, and Espirito Santo.
